200HR Yoga Teacher Training

The Path of a Seeker

Jyoti Yoga & Healing 200HR teacher training program is designed to intersect the ancient sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda with modern neuroscience, biomechanics and kinesiology.

Whether you are looking to become a Yoga Teacher or  to deepen your own practice, JYH 200TT  has been carefully crafted to support you in your journey.

Program Features

  • Philosophy and Foundations of Yoga through the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita
  • Principles of Ayurvedic lifestyle and disease prevention
  • In depth analysis of over 60 asanas supporting your mastery of alignment, energetics, therapeutic application and biomechanical safety
  • Embodied anatomical exploration of your own form
  • Development of meditative practices through mudras, pranayama, yogic meditation techniques and use of Singing Bowls
  • Introduction to Sanskrit mantras 
  • Yoga therapeutics including restorative, pre/postnatal, Yin and trauma informed yoga
  • Intelligent sequencing for group and individual classes
  • Social justice & anti-racism training
  • Ethics & business of Yoga
  • Supervised practicum & individualized mentoring

Fridays 6pm – 8:30pm | Saturdays/Sundays 9am -6:30pm (includes 1 hour lunch)

After Graduation you will

  • Demonstrate competency in the principles and science of Yoga and Ayurveda
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of asana, pranayama and meditation
  • Gain confidence and skills to lead a safe and well informed group and private class
  • Develop a personal yoga practice
  • Become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance ® (RYT200)

$3,500 register by March 15th
$3,750 register after March 15th

$500 deposit and application fee (non-refundable) is due at sign up. If you are not accepted into the program we will refund your deposit less $50 application fee.

The full tuition is due no later than 14 days prior to the start of the program and is not refundable after. Partial tuition refunds available with written notice up to 14 days prior to the start of the program.

Julia Abramova

MBA, SEP, C-IAYT, AWP, ERYT, CSHP, RPYT

Founder of Jyoti Yoga & Healing. Soon after beginning her yoga teaching career, Julia realized that there was a need to work with students on a more individual basis in order to help them find peace and balance within their bodies. This desire to help led to further studies in: pre/postnatal yoga, the Kaivalya Yoga Method and Prema Yoga Institute program. Julia graduated from an advanced 500 hour training at Pure Yoga as well as established herself as a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Julia is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Certified Sound Healing Practitioner and a Reiki Master

Dr Christopher Walling

PSYD, MBA, C-IAYT, ERYT

Clinical psychologist in private practice in Los Angeles, California, with a background in healthcare and medical research. He began to explore applications of yoga therapy in mental health during his work as executive administrator for the UCLA Longevity Center. He currently serves as president of the United States Association of Body Psychotherapy and chairman of the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation’s Education Advisory Committee.

Dana Slamp

MFA, C-IAYT, ERYT

Founder of Prema Yoga Institute in New York City. She completed her 300 hour Yoga Therapy training with ISKY, an international IAYT member school. She received an Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist Certification from Dr. Mark Halpern of Sivananda Yoga in 2014, completed anatomy training with Leslie Kaminoff, Yoga Nidra training with Dr. Marc Halpern, Prenatal Teacher Training with Gurmukh, and an additional 100 hour Meditation Teacher Training with Yogi Charu.

DK Dyson

ERYT

Acclaimed singer and song writer who has been practicing and teaching yoga for over 30 years.  DK’s specialty is working with victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and people with drug addiction.  She has performed musically worldwide and has integrated her singing talents into profound sound healing sessions.

Jennifer Hondru

ERYT, RPYT

Reiki Master Teacher, Registered Yoga Teacher, wife, and mom of two, Jennifer Hondru-Celestin has been an enthusiastic student of yoga, meditation, healing arts, nutrition and holistic health for over 20 years. Jennifer completed her intensive Reiki Master training in 2003, with the late Margaret Ann Case of ReikiArts Continuum. In 2004, she completed the 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Starseed Yoga in Montclair, NJ, where she had the privilege of studying with Dr. Jason Martin and the late Jyoti Chrystal. Jennifer has spent the last decade studying therapeutic, restorative and Ayurvedic yoga with Jillian Pransky and many other specialists in healing yoga.

Heather Maher

ERYT

A Certified 800 hour Jivamukti Teacher with additional certification in Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Yoga Nidra. Heather is a certified QiGong energy healer under Master Peng. Heather’s own yoga journey began in 2000. She received her first certification from Yoga Effects, training with Liz Mandarano. Shortly after she completed her 300 hour teacher training with Sharon Gannon and David Life, co-founders of Jivamukti Yoga, and then went on tocomplete her 800 Hour Certification.

Laura Beth Brown

ERYT, RPYT

Specializes in Pre/Postnatal and Bhakti yoga. With her experience teaching yoga in medical settings for the past four years–both chiropractic and OB/GYN– Laura Beth enjoys bridging the gap between western allopathic medicine and yoga. As a yogi activist and musician, she can also be found chanting in NJ and NY with her kirtan band, The Love Tribe, raising awareness of injustices and sending the seeds of healing to the world through collective voices . She is grateful for her teachers, Joseph and Lillian LePage of Integrative Yoga Therapy, Maria Mendola of Functional Yoga Therapy, Carrie Parker of BabyMoon Prenatal Yoga, and Seane Corn of Off The Mat Into the World
